Sailors Summer Drop in
Please note the below date and time changes to the drop in sessions:
The Sailors Field Hockey Club is pleased to announce that the annual mixed summer drop in field hockey games will begin on Thursday, May 9 . All sessions will be on Thursday nights.
WHAT: Summer Drop in Field Hockey
WHO: Mixed men and women (ages 14 and up) – Must be registered members of Field Hockey BC
WHEN: Thursdays: 8-9:30 pm (May 9-June 20); 7-8:30 pm (June 27-Sept 5)
WHERE: UVic Field Hockey Field #1
BRING: Your payment, stick, mouth guard and shin pads
COST: $5 per session or $20 per month
Participation in summer drop in will require up front payment in cash or cheque only. Monthly fees will apply on the first day of each month and will include all Wednesday sessions of that month. Carry-over sessions will not be permitted for monthly play. (ie: If you pay $20 on the second Wednesday of May, you will have to restart your payment in June either by $5/session or another $20 for the month of June).
Players will not be permitted to participate in a session without upfront payment.
The club will provide pinnies and will divide the players up for 7-aside or full field depending on who shows up and the variety in skill level.

Billets required!
ATTN: All VIFHA members!
On Tuesday, April 2nd and Wednesday, April 3rd, a boys and girls team visiting from Australia, aged 15-17, will be playing a series of exhibition matches in Victoria.
It is last minute but the teams are short billets for both the girls and boys teams.
INFORMATION
- Overnight meals and billeting for the evenings of Tues. April 2 and Wed. April 3
- Athletes will need pick up after 6:00 p.m. game from UVic on Tues, Apr. 2
- Drop off around 8:00 a.m. on both Wed. and Thurs. (Apr. 3-4) at UVic

UVic Parking Lot Closures
Due to the beginning construction phases of the Centre for Athletics, Recreation and Special Abilities (CARSA), as of Monday, February 25, 2013, the University of Victoria will be closing Parking Lot #3 near the corner of Gabriola Road and MacKenzie Avenue. Please refer to the attached map for available parking lots and changes to the entrances for playing fields 1, 2 and 3.

Jr league: Come try it FREE
Hello Field Hockey friends and families,
We are gearing up for another great season of Junior Field Hockey, and we’d love to have you join us! This year’s season runs April 6 through June 23, with full details on our website.
- Our ‘Come Try the Game Free’ days are scheduled for Sunday, February 3 and Sunday, March 3, 10:00 – 11:00 at UVIC. All new players, ages 5 through 18, are welcome! Registration for these events is at www.victoriajuniorfieldhockey.ca
- Registration for the upcoming 2013 Spring League Field Hockey opens on Monday, January 28. A link will be available on our website,www.victoriajuniorfieldhockey.ca one week from today, so please mark your calendars! Note: Please use a non-tablet, non-mobile, non-government computer for registration to ensure a seamless registration.
We are also now on Facebook (Victoria Junior Field Hockey) and Twitter (#VicJrFH), and will be posting regularly, so feel free to follow us there!
